The Costa del Sol is a coastline on the Mediterranean Sea between Almeria and Gibraltar and part of the autonomous region of Andalusia. Within this region lies the region of La Axarquía. This region is less touristy than on the western side of the city of Malaga with a pleasant micro-climate because this region is surrounded by mountains that stop the cold wind from the highlands of central Spain in winter. With almost 3000 hours of sun per year this region also has the most sun of the mainland of Europe.
Through the links below, we want to give you an impression of what the Costa del Sol and especially what the region of Andalusia has to offer.
